Workshops

Participants will use silicone eye kits for practical exercises, watch video demonstrations, and receive live explanations and demonstrations.
They will practice various surgical steps for strabismus surgery, such as duction testing, incisions, muscle anchoring, suture placement on the muscles, muscle disinsertion or resection, scleral reinsertion, and conjunctival suturing, all under close guidance and supervision.
A station will also be available for practicing eyelid sutures.
Surprise materials will be provided.

Participants will experience all stages of examination, from approaching young children to specific assessments such as visual acuity testing, eye position and motility examination, refraction (including retinoscopy), direct and indirect ophthalmoscopy, fundus photography, intraocular pressure measurement in children, and more. They will also learn practical tips and strategies for successfully examining young patients.
Additionally, participants will be familiarized with electrophysiological assessments in children.
