Prof. Dr. Cameron Parsa

Pr. Cameron F. Parsa was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised there first, then in Paris, France. He returned to New York City for university and graduate school studies in physics, later studying medicine and ophthalmology. He pursued training in ophthalmic pathology with W. Richard Green and Chi-Chao Chan, ophthalmic optics with David L. Guyton, neuro-ophthalmology with William F. Hoyt and Creig S. Hoyt, then pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, again with David L. Guyton, and finally ophthalmic genetics with Irene H. Maumenee. He remained on the faculty at the Johns Hopkins Hospital for over a decade before eventually returning to Paris as Invited Professor at the Quinze-Vingts National Eye Hospital in Paris, France as well as at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium. His research interests combine training and clinical work experiences in what may be termed analytical and developmental ophthalmology.
