
Primary ophthalmologist and pediatrician
Dr. Andreea Ciubotaru graduated as head of the Faculty of Medicine at the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, in 1998.
Between 2000 and 2005, he followed the ophthalmology residency at the Bucharest Ophthalmological Emergency Clinical Hospital, participating during this period in several internships specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and cataract surgery in Prague - Czech Republic, Graz - Austria (Karl Franzens University), Munich - Germany (Ludwig-Maximilians University).
In 2011, Dr. Andreea Ciubotaru obtained her doctorate "Magna cum Laude" at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, Germany, with the thesis "Posterior tendectomy of the superior oblique muscle as a therapy for congenital Brown syndrome". Since 2007, he has been the medical director of the Infosan Bucharest Ophthalmology Hospital.
Dr. Andreea Ciubotaru is the president of the Romanian Society of Ophthalmogenetics and the vice-president of the Romanian Society of Strabology and Ophthalmopediatrics, as well as a member of the Romanian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
He contributed as an author to numerous Romanian and international congresses, as well as to the editing of many books and treatises on ophthalmology. Favorite subjects are strabismus, amblyopia, congenital cataract, electrophysiology and hereditary retinal diseases.
