Ophthalmologist Primary Physician
He graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at UMF Carol Davila in 1985. In 1994, he became a specialist ophthalmologist, and in 2000, a senior ophthalmologist. In 2001, he completed his doctoral examination, defending the thesis “Ultrasound and Computed Tomography in the Diagnosis of Oculo-Orbital Disorders.” Since 2017, he has been a professor in the ophthalmology department at the Carol Davila University of Medicine.
Prof. Dr. Călin Tătaru is the President of the Romanian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, a member of the Board of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Vice President of the Romanian Society of Ophthalmology, and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
